Tid Typeface
Tid, by Letters from Sweden and Stefania Malmsten, is an interpretation of The Best Typeface in the World, a typeface and an idea that Göran Söderström and Stefania have both been obsessed with throughout their working lives. The first iteration of Tid was introduced during Moderna Museet’s extensive exhibition with Laurie Andersson in the spring of 2023. It works effectively in a digital environment and offers extensive language support. It is very pleasant to read which makes it accessible and relevant. The look of Tid is not neutral but easy and beautiful. With well crafted figures there’s no need for lower case numbers (but they’re there if you insist). A text typeface for our time.
