Swedish Fashion

Swedish Fashion – Exploring a New Identity was a traveling exhibition commissioned by Svenska institutet in 2008. Curated by Maria Ben Saad, it featured clothes by 13 Swedish designers, among them Sandra Backlund, Ann-Sofie Back, Rodebjer and Martin Bergström. The variable exhibition design was created by architect Ola Andersson together with Stefania Malmsten and Ulrika Hellberg, who designed the graphic identity, including a catalogue. A film that accompanied the mannequins was made by Göran Hugo Olsson. First stop was Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow. The exhibition then traveled to museums and other spaces in Peking, Shanghai, Tokyo, London and Paris.
