Aalto Aino Alvar
The exhibition Aalto Aino Alvar explores the shared vision of Aino Marsio-Aalto and Alvar Aalto. Like their colleagues in the Bauhaus movement, the Aaltos wanted to help shape modern society by bringing art and design into everyday life. Drawn from an extensive private Aalto collection, the exhibition shows furniture, lighting and glass, alongside prototypes and experiments. Exhibition concept and graphic design – a collaboration between Malmsten Hellberg and Sophia Wood – includes text printed on cardboard placed on bricks, and photos printed on clear glass.
The exhibition is produced by Millesgården Museum in collaboration with Kunsthalle Helsinki (Taidehalli) and is installed by Hangmen Studio.
