Carl Malmsten was born over a hundred years ago, but his ideas are more relevant than ever. In the fall of 1940 he opened his own furniture store at Strandvägen 5B in Stockholm. This summer the store closed down for a complete make over by architect Mikael Bergquist and with graphic design by Malmsten Hellberg. Carl Malmsten classics have been joined by Raf Simons’ upholstery fabric for Kvadrat and more. The overall visual identity is contemporary and still true to CM:s ideals. The scope of work includes signage, packaging, website and stationary.
