La Société du Spectacle
“The world has already been filmed. The point now is to change it.“ La Société du Spectacle, an adaption of 27 paragraphs from the book by Guy Debord about hyper-consumerism and capitalist image creation, published in 1967 but more relevant than ever. Directed by Roxy Farhat (who has also created animated vignettes for the film) and Göran Hugo Olsson, with Frida Beckman, Mikkel Bolt Rasmussen, Valerie Kyeyune Backström, Jyoti Mistry, Andreas Malm and Stellan Vinthagen. Malmsten Hellberg designed graphics, posters and a book companion with the selected paragraphs along with transcribed conversation from the film. The title is set in Extencil, a never released typeface by Letters from Sweden.
